Welcome back! For the inaugural Nugget for 2008, I'm featuring a song from my favorite album of 2007 - Amy Winehouse's Back To Black. We're all familiar with the sad, tabloid-greased decline Ms. Winehouse has suffered since she hit the big time, but this album leaves little doubt that the girl was born to sing. A voice that practically demands you sit up and take notice, a classically brassy production that is the closest thing to Motown I've heard in years and you have a female soul album that even Ms. Aretha would appreciate. I hope she gets her shit together...the world needs more like her.
